2) Artful subtlety; deceptiveness; craftiness; deceitfulness. “With great cunning they were able to navigate through the mire of personalities and come out smelling like roses despite their tricks.”

(adj) 1) Shrewd; sly; crafty; deceitful in an artful way. “His scheme was so cunning that he had taken the prize before anyone knew better.”

2) Ingenious; skillful. “Her cunning solution to the problem was deceptively simple.”

3) Cute; small and attractive. “The ball of 5 week old kittens were so cunning that she wanted to take them all.”
