Meet the Faces of Our Little Books

In the world of blogging and social networking you meet many people virtually. You may know their blogging style, branding, or logo but you don’t always feel you know the people behind the scenes. Today we thought it would be fun to introduce the faces of Our Little Books. Although there are many faces that make Our Little Books work, these are the primary faces.

Julia and Candace at Barnes and Nobles display.

Candace C. Davenport and Julia M. Lindsey co-founded Our Little Books® in 2008. Essentially springing out of choosing to form a company to self-publish their own personal little books, Our Little Books evolved into a little book publishing company when other people starting wanting their own little books.

Candace Candace is the author of The Little Book of Identity Theft and the Simply A Choice 30 day Companion Journal, Candace has a long history of writing. While practicing law for 30+ years, she had several opinions published by both State and Federal Courts based on her legal briefs. Besides writing articles and blogging, she is currently ghostwriting a (big) book due out at the end of 2010.

Besides loving to help authors through their own journey of birthing a little book, she loves to play tennis. However, her real passion is working with and banding raptors as they migrate through the beautiful Marin Headlands of California.

JuliaJulia is the author of The Little Book of Abundance, Abundance is Simply a Choice and The Little Book of Joy, Joy is Simply a Choice. She wrote the books because she wanted to help others find inner joy. She found that she could help more people find their voice by helping others find their voice in a little book. Julia continues to work as an Occupational Therapist, working with developmentally delayed and special needs children. She was published in therapy journals before turning to little books.

Julia starts most of her days on the racquetball court at 6am.   She enjoys reading, writing, painting, and fixing things. In the summer, you will find her digging in the freshly turned dirt in the flower garden. When she needs inspiration she will spend time sitting in the flowers, hiking a trail or walking.  She is married with two grown children that are following their passions.

Do you have any questions for Candace or Julia? We will answer most questions within reason.
